All internship opportunities are paid and offer mentorship, peer interaction, project work, executive visibility, volunteer opportunities, and networking events./ppEach Underwriting Intern will be part of one of our 15+ programs, within a niche market segment. Novacore | Specialty Insurance Solutions/ppOur internship program runs mid-May through the early/mid-August, and is considered a hybrid work situation with 3 days required onsite and 2 days work from home./ph2Responsibilities/h2ulliFully assist Underwriters in all aspects of the underwriting process./liliInteract with agents to provide superior customer service via phone and email./liliReview submissions for completeness, accuracy and make requests for information./liliSet up rating in system for underwriter to price./liliBind, book, bill and issue policies./liliResponsible for review of all documentation of underwriting files with underwriters guidance./liliFollow up on open items and request additional items to finalize checklist./liliAttend team meetings and perform additional duties as assigned./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2ulliStrong attention to detail; strong focus on accuracy of information transferred from applications to system for rating./liliAbility to service and maintain strong relationships with brokers./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliStrong analytical/critical thinking skills./liliAbility to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and stay organized./liliThrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork capabilities./li/ul/div
