Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Solution Consultant to drive customer engagement for PERSUIT’s Outside Counsel Management (OCM) and Legal Spend Management solutions. This role requires deep expertise in legal and technology, with a focus on enabling organizations to transform their outside counsel engagement, e-billing, and value-based pricing strategies.

As a trusted advisor, you will bridge business needs and technical solutions, guiding clients through value discovery, solution design, and advising on strategic change. While you will not perform hands-on implementations, you will play a critical role in shaping client outcomes, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring successful handover to the implementation teams to ensure successful adoption and time to value of PERSUIT, and Apperio e-billing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Leadership & Demonstrations

• Deliver expert-level sales demonstrations , customizing PERSUIT and Apperio demo environments to reflect each client’s unique legal operations workflows and pricing strategies.
• Design and execute Proof of Concept (POC) engagements that validate business and technical fit while driving stakeholder buy-in.

Advisory & Business Consulting

• Evaluate clients’ current-state legal operations and technology ecosystems, and define future-state OCM and Legal Spend Management architectures .
• Develop and present strategic roadmaps to General Counsel (GC), Chief Legal Officers (CLO), and C-Suite stakeholders with authority and business credibility.
• Conduct Business Impact Assessments and value realization studies to identify measurable ROI and business outcomes from PERSUIT and Apperio solutions.
• Professionally document findings and deliverables for executive review, creating alignment across business and technical teams.

Domain Expertise & Process Design

• You will be a legal pricing expert , advising on value-based pricing, Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs), and outcome-based Outside Counsel selection and engagement strategies.
• Map and design integrated legal technology workflows , including AP, matter inception, data lakes, BI platforms, and e-billing systems.
• Facilitate and deliver Outside Counsel Management maturity assessments , helping clients benchmark and optimize their legal department performance.

Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

• Build trust with diverse stakeholders, engaging credibly with General Counsel, Legal Operations leaders, procurement teams, and IT departments.
• Translate business priorities into technical requirements and influence both executive strategy and operational execution.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• +5 years experience in a legal tech SAAS Solution Consultant or equivalent role
• Deep knowledge of Outside Counsel Management, Legal Spend Management, or e-billing ecosystems.
• Demonstrated expertise delivering tailored solution demonstrations and leading successful POC engagements.
• Strong consulting background with experience in process analysis, business case development, and professional documentation for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to engage with GC and C-Suite stakeholders while also diving into technical details with IT and operational teams.
• Expertise in legal pricing models, value-based pricing strategies, and outside counsel engagement frameworks.
• Experience mapping technical processes across multiple enterprise systems and legal tech platforms.
• Prior experience creating Statements of Work (SOWs) for professional services engagements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience building and scaling a Solution Consulting team or function.
