ACGC High School is seeking a motivated and student-centered High School Business Teacher for grades 9–12. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction that prepares students with essential business, financial literacy, and career-readiness skills.
Teach secondary business courses such as Business Foundations, Personal Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Economics, and/or Business Technology.
Develop and deliver lessons aligned with Iowa Core Standards and district curriculum.
Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports student learning.
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff.
Participate in PLCs, professional development, and school activities.
Communicate effectively with students and families.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Education or a related field.
Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate secondary business endorsement(s).
Knowledge of business concepts, financial literacy, and career readiness skills.
Ability to integrate technology into instruction.
Secondary teaching experience.
Willingness to sponsor or assist with business-related student organizations
Contract and salary per the Guthrie Center master contract agreement.
