SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor maintains a clean and well-functioning warehouse facility by working alongside and guiding the other members of the warehouse department. Sets a good example for all team members by following approved procedures. Assists other team members when needed and is the leader of the department. This is NOT a desk job, you will be full-hands-on supervisor, part of team, leading by example out on the floor job.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all approved procedures are being followed to the letter by all team members to ensure compliance with all OSHA and audit requirements.

• Takes initiative when on the job and is always looking for better practices.

• Always treats all team members with respect and dignity.

• Ensures all team members are trained and certified (when necessary) on all equipment.

• Always provides excellent Customer Service (both internally and externally - this is a MUST).

• Shows up to work on time (if not early) per the assigned schedule and respects the overtime limits set by the company.

• Effectively communicates with management and all team members on any Warehouse issues.

• Confers with management in weekly meetings on any issues within the department.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly supervises at least two employees within the Warehouse department, including the delivery driver.

• Remains mindful of costs and actively looks for more cost-effective methods for the company to use.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Certified forklift operator.

• Computer skills required: (Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite).

Other skills required:

o Customer Service.

o Ability to accurately count inventory.
