Title: Payroll Manager

Pay: $80,000 – $85,000 base salary

Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA | Fully Onsite

A long-established, privately held organization with a nationwide footprint is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for its multi-state and Canadian workforce. This company is a leader in its industry, recognized for its strong operational infrastructure, employee longevity, and commitment to high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of payroll processing for multiple entities across 45 U.S. states and Canada.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five payroll admins to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Manage and optimize the ADP Vantage payroll platform and integrations with third-party systems.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Audit and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
• Manage amendments and year-end processing, including W-2s.
• Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and Accounting on system data alignment.
• Lead or assist with payroll system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.
• Process and balance special incentive payments (SPIFF, After-Hours, etc.).
• Provide payroll data and reporting support for audits as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, compliance, and tax reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Vantage (or ADP Workforce Now).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel .

Preferred Experience

• Managing multi-state and Canadian payrolls.
• Leading or supporting ADP system implementation or upgrade projects.
• Driving process improvements and identifying operational efficiencies.
