Gorton Law LLC has an immediate opening for an Immigration Attorney. You will analyze and provide advice to individuals and business clients. You will represent clients before the EOIR, USCIS, and Massachusetts Courts. You will draft pleadings and applications for submission and offer excellent client service. Our clients love us & we love what we do.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with and familiarity with immigration and nationality law, but entry-level applicants are welcome to apply. Candidates must be attorneys in good standing with the Massachusetts bar. A hybrid schedule is available upon the convenience of the employer.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients, provide legal analysis and advice
• Appear before, and represent clients before, government agencies, or the courts of the Commonwealth
• Prepare and draft substantive legal product on behalf of clients, including applications for asylum, adjustment of status, visas, and waivers.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

​​ Qualifications:

• Applicants must be attorneys in good standing with the Massachusetts bar.
• Previous experience in immigration law recommended
• Fluency in a second language is encouraged but not required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
