Overview:

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships!

We are currently offering an opportunity for a HR Intern to support our Corporate HR Team. This 10-week immersive program is designed to provide hands-on experience, you will play a key role in s upporting the overall operations of both the Executive Office & Human Resources assisting with essential administrative tasks. Work closely with the Director of Human Resources on important responsibilities such as new hire onboarding and administration, employee relations, training and communications with both hotel departments and Highgate corporate offices. Gain valuable experience within HR Operations and contribute to our team. The Corporate HR team operates in a collaborative environment, allowing you to learn about the hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.

This position is based from our corporate offices in Irving, TX.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Human resources (HR) intern provides valuable support in carrying out the day-to-day HR activities in the corporate office.
  • Assist in administrative tasks in the HR department.
  • Responsible for creating new hire files and audit employee files.
  • Assist with corporate office event planning and execution.
  • Support HH HR Inbox- HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare new hire gift bags and cubicles/office area.
  • Input updates on the department’s internal HR systems and databases.

 

Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology or Communications.
  • Minimum Junior Status.
  • Able to demonstrate professional work ethic.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word and excel.
  • Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June-August).
  • You must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite.
  • Salary - $20/hr for 40 hour week /10 weeks.
