Lubbock General Contractors, a leading local construction firm (lubbockgeneralcontractors.com), is building the future of West Texas energy. We are looking for hard-working, driven, and reliable individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Solar Installers.

No prior solar or construction experience is required. We will provide all the training you need. We are hiring for attitude and effort —if you're physically capable and eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

As an Entry-Level Solar Installer, you are the backbone of our crew. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation of solar racking and mounting equipment on commercial and residential rooftops and ground mounts.
• Moving materials, loading/unloading equipment, and ensuring the job site is clean and safe.
• Working alongside licensed electricians and senior installers, learning the trade from the ground up.
• Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and company standards.

What We Require (The Essentials)

We can teach you solar, but we can't teach work ethic. We are looking for candidates who are:

• Reliable: Shows up on time, ready to work, every day.
• Hard-Working & Driven: You are motivated to exceed expectations and complete a full day's work.
• Physically Capable: Must be comfortable working long hours in various weather conditions, climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and spending long periods on rooftops.
• Excellent Attitude: A positive and respectful demeanor is non-negotiable.

Compensation & Schedule

• Base Pay: $15.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on your drive and dedication.
• Substantial Overtime: Due to a high volume of projects, we regularly work extended hours. Expect significant overtime pay, as we offer Time and a Half (1.5x) for all hours worked over 40 each week. Candidates should be prepared for typical weekly hours ranging from 50 to 70 hours , leading to high weekly paychecks.

Experience is a not a Requirement

While no experience is necessary, candidates with the following will be viewed favorably:

• Welcoming all entry level candidates - great opportunity for someone just beginning!
• Prior experience in Roofing or general construction.

Experience as an Electrician Apprentice or other licensed electricians welcomed!
